Advocacy and Information Service
The Advocacy and Information Service gives information and advice to clients of the Clinic, and advocates on their behalf.
Our main aim is to empower our clients and to support their rights.
Once you have begun counselling at the Clinic, we can also help with such things as:
Welfare
benefits
Housing
(and homelessness)
Asylum
support (NASS and social services)
Immigration
advice
We can help you find advice and information about education and training (including English classes).
We can help you find a GP if you do not have one.
We can sometimes get welfare grants for certain purposes for homeless people, people without support, disabled people, and people with babies (or who are pregnant).
We use interpreters as necessary for advice appointments.
